Telemedicine Neurologist — Concussion & Brain Injury Specialist

  • 100% remote
  • Full-time or part-time · Independent contractor
  • Priority states: CA, AL, AZ, IL, VA, NM

Provide neurological care for patients with concussion and mTBI, working closely with PM&R and the broader rehabilitation team. Patients enter care through the specialist best suited to their needs; headache-predominant cases and cases involving seizure risk or other complex neurological concerns typically begin with Neurology.

About Go Clinic

Go Clinic provides coordinated telehealth care for patients with concussion and mild traumatic brain injury (mTBI), as well as related neck and spine injuries. All care is delivered through the Go Clinic telehealth platform, with one plan shared across the care team: Neurology, Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R), physical and vestibular therapy, and speech-language pathology.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct virtual consultations and comprehensive neurological evaluations by video, including oculomotor, vestibular, cognitive and motor function assessments.
  • Develop individualized management plans for patients with concussion and mTBI, addressing symptoms such as headaches, dizziness and vertigo, cognitive difficulties, balance problems, visual disturbances, sensory changes and sleep disturbances.
  • Coordinate care with PM&R and the multidisciplinary team, including physical therapy, vestibular therapy and speech-language pathology, to support continuity of care throughout recovery.

Required qualifications

  • MD or DO with an active, unrestricted medical license in at least one US state.
  • Board certification or board eligibility in Neurology (ABPN).
  • 2+ years of independent, post-graduate clinical practice, or completion of an ACGME-accredited Brain Injury Medicine (or related) fellowship, is preferred.
  • Demonstrated clinical experience diagnosing and managing traumatic brain injury (TBI), including concussion, mTBI and persistent post-concussion symptoms.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to communicate clinical findings and treatment recommendations effectively in a virtual clinical setting.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary clinical team.

Preferred qualifications

  • Active medical licenses in multiple US states, ideally nationwide. Licensure in one or more priority states — California, Alabama, Arizona, Illinois, Virginia and New Mexico — is particularly valuable; eligibility for the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) is also an advantage.
  • Experience coordinating care with multidisciplinary teams, including PM&R, physical and vestibular therapy, and speech-language pathology.
  • Previous telehealth experience.

We handle the rest

  • Documentation is simplified: the platform and our team support your clinical documentation, so there is minimal typing during appointments — just spend the time talking with your patient.
  • Scheduling and bookings are handled by the administrative team.
  • Care coordination is fully supported: referrals, prescriptions, medication orders, follow-up appointments and other operational parts of the patient journey.
  • Everything is in one place: patient information, the shared care plan and the multidisciplinary team in one easy-to-use system.

How we work

  • Flexible schedule: practice from anywhere on our telehealth platform, with the schedule and caseload you choose.
  • Visit format: typical visits are 20–30 minutes for initial evaluations and 15 minutes for follow-ups, adjustable based on your clinical judgment. Our admin team schedules and supports every visit.
  • Team-based care: Neurology, PM&R, physical therapy, vestibular therapy and speech-language pathology collaborate through one shared care plan, supporting continuity of care throughout each patient's recovery.
  • Licensure: you treat patients in the states where you hold an active license, with support if you choose to add licenses.

What we offer

  • Compensation: transparent per-encounter rates, paid monthly. Compensation is for clinical services rendered and is not based on referrals or on the volume or value of any business generated.
  • Malpractice insurance: coverage is provided for services rendered to the practice's patients.
  • Administrative support: scheduling, documentation and operational support.
  • Technology: a secure, HIPAA-compliant telemedicine platform for virtual exams, patient education and team collaboration.
